Bad Mommy!
Have you ever had one of those moments that make you think you are a bad mom? Well I had one on Friday. I was in the kitchen preparing food for the Bunco Party that was at my house that night. Abby was playing in the exersaucer where I could see her. She started to get a little fussy but since I knew that she had just been fed and had a clean diaper I thought she was just wanting attention but I had to finish what I was doing. All of a sudden I realize that Abby isn't making any noise so I look over. She is fast asleep standing up with her head laying on the edge of the exersaucer! I really wish my camera had been handy but it wasn't. I guess I didn't take into account that she might be fussy because she woke up early from her nap. So, yes, I have my bad mom moments. I'm sure there will be more to come over the years but at least I could find a little humor in this one.

This kid is growing so fast!!
I can't believe how fast this little munchkin is growing up! She loves to pull herself up on the table and anything else she can.

Update on my goal!
So a little over a month ago, I made a goal to not say anything bad about my body. I started out strong but then slipped up a few times towards the end of the month. It is a REALLY, REALLY hard habit to break. I did have some thoughts though about this subject.
1. Our bodies are a gift from Heavenly Father (hmmm... I'm sure I had a lesson about this in Young Women's many, many years ago). He created us and our features so it must make him pretty sad when we say negative things about ourselves. I think because our bodies are gifts from Him, then it is also very important that we do what we can to take care of them!
2. Who do I say bad things about my body too most often? My husband!! It is kind of funny that I point out my flaws to the one person I want to think I am beautiful!
3. One thing that helped keep me on track was working out! I am usually pretty good at working out several times a week but there has been so much going on the past few weeks that I haven't really been on top of my game. Interesting correlation, when I stop working out, I criticize my body more.
Well, this is a battle that is going to take longer than a month to fight. But, for both my self esteem and my daughters self worth, it is worth it. Now, just to find another health goal for the next month... Maybe stop baking so much on Sundays so I don't eat brownies for breakfast. Or, eat more vegetables! I think I will go with the vegetables. Here goes nothing!

This is Halloween!!
As you can see, our child is a party animal!! We put her costume on and then the first thing she did was fall asleep!
She didn't stay asleep for long though as the Trick or Treaters started making their way to our house!
She sure is our cute little mouse! I was really bummed because I have cat ears too so I was going to dress up with her. Of course though I didn't start looking for them till about 5:00 on Halloween and never found them! It was really fun to dress her up but I can't wait for the years to come when we can carve pumpkins and take her Trick or Treating! (We are going to have to get a little creative though in thinking of "trades" since she won't be able to have alot of the candy).

On a side note... If you could keep Abby in your prayers. It seems like she has a small stomach virus. So far she is doing fine but the doctors have said to keep an eye on her. We are going on day 4 here so hopefully it ends soon. If she starts vomiting too then we will have to take her to the hospital. Thank you all!
Fun with Dad!
One thing is for sure! Abby loves her Daddy!! Sometimes I think he is going to be the favorite parent! Actually, make that I KNOW he is going to be the favorite parent!
So here is the real reason we were taking pictures. We wanted to get a picture of Abby with the Halloween hat my mom made her. She wears it when we go on errands but of course I never have my camera with me then. So, of course, when I want to take a picture of her in it, she pulls it off head. It is really hard to get her to keep anything on her head. She likes to pull it off and inspect whatever it is. We went and took family pictures Saturday morning and it was amazing she kept her hair bow on for the entire time! (her hands were probably too cold to use).
