Wishbone
So both Jason and I have always said that we have bad luck but now it is official. Last night as part of our family home evening we broke the thanksgiving wishbone (yes, it took us quite awhile to get around to it). So here we are, each making our wish and pulling our respective sides of the wishbone when what happens? The wishbone snaps and we hear clattering sounds against two opposite walls in our living room. We look down and what do we see? Each of us has a small part of bone in our hand (equal sizes) and neither of us has the winning piece. We go and look where we heard the noises and find pieces of the top shattered on opposite sides of the room. Who ever heard of such a thing happening. So neither one of us gets our wish. Or maybe we both do, we'll just have to wait and see.

Christmas Snow
I was quite proud of myself that I could shovel our whole driveway while being 8 months pregnant and still keep a smile on my face.
Ok, so it's not true. All I could really shovel was half of the stairs that lead to our front door. I was able to throw down ice melt though!
Here is the real hero of the day.
Unfortunately, Jason did have to work part of Christmas but he was able to stop by with the ATV to clear out our driveway. There was so much snow though that even the atv was having trouble. He ended up having to do some of it by hand.
In this picture, you can see just how much snow we had in our driveway and yard. I used to love the snow until we moved into our own house. No more HOA to take care of all the snow in your apartment complex.
And here is Jason's truck. It hasn't been move since it started snowing and by the looks of it, won't be moved anytime soon.
Even though Jason did have to work, it didn't end up quite as bad as I feared. He was able to be home in the morning for breakfast and presents and to be home at night for dinner. We both would have rather he could have been home all day but it was better than normal days when it snows that much and he is gone for 15 hours. For the first time in the Albert household, I actually made dinner all by myself on a holiday. You see, I was very lucky and married a man who loves to cook probably more than I do. Thus, he usually ends up making part of holiday (and sunday) dinners. Yeah for me. However, since he was gone most of the day, I cooked it all by myself. I was quite proud of myself so I just needed to brag. Hope everyone else had a wonderful Christmas and we were quite sad that we couldn't spend the holiday with family. Love you all.

Big Belly!!
This is for my mother in law Kathy and my sister in law Mckenzie who are alwayas asking for picturs of my belly. Hope you enjoy!! Mckenzie asked why I haven't put any pictures of the ultrasound up and here is my answer. Because I am technologically challenged. I have a scanner somewhere in the garage (who knows if it works, it's a hand me down) and I need to figure out how to plug it in. Also, I have a dvd of the ultrasound but I can't figure out how to save it to my computer so I can post it. Sorry, I actually tried for about an hour and a half and just couldn't figure it out, but if you know of a way, just let me know.
Here are our decorations and tree. My mom made the stockings. She is quite talented. My version of making them would be those generic felt stocking, some paint and glitter.
This photo is representative of my lack of technological skills, I forgot to rotate and now I can't figure out how to fix it. Sorry everyone, I told you I was still trying to figure out this whole blog thing.
Here I am again and I look huge as a house. It doesn't help that I have an awful cold and there isn't really anything I can take. Love you all and hope to post more fun stuff soon.
P.S. Pray for Jason and I that it doesn't snow here on Christmas. If it does, he will have to work and neither one of us will enjoy that.

Baby Names
As you can see from the time stamp on these posts, it is way too early in the morning and I can't sleep. It has been this way for the last couple of months. Is this normal in pregnancy?? I was talking to one of my neighbors and she said that she could hardly sleep while she was pregnant and then afterwards she looked back and thought it was the best sleep she had ever had. Once I heard that, I wanted to cry. Anyway. This post is to see if anyone has any ideas for baby names. I am dead set on the name Caitlin but Jason just isn't going for it. We have yet to come up with a name that we can agree on so pass on any ideas you may have. I worry our poor girl will have no name for days. Or, if you really want, you can tell Jason how much you love the name Caitlin!!
Oh Christmas Tree...
So we set up our Christmas tree about a week ago but I haven't had time to write about it until now. Both Jason and I probably thought we would be real Christmas tree purists forever but practicality won out. We started looking at the prices we pay every year for a fresh tree and compared it to the cost of a reusable fake tree. Big Savings. Then I remembered how I was still vacuuming up pine needles in August and I was sold. Little did we know it would take us almost 4 hours to set up the thing and it would shed fake pine needles instead of real ones. It's not all that bad though. It does look pretty good and we don't have to bend down to water it everyday. Also, I won't have to nag Jason next year about when we are going to go out and get a tree. We will post pictures of it later (as soon as I remember to take some :)

Welcome!!
Welcome to our new blog. I'm still learning about this whole blog thing so we will see how it goes. I really wanted to get this started before the baby is born so that all our family and friends can keep in touch and see how she grows and progresses. It is really hard to live so far away from everybody but this was the best way that I could think of to regularly post pictures and experiences as she grows.
